1. What This Policy Covers
This policy is about the last mile: what happens between the courier arriving in your area and the parcel being in your hands. Dispatch timelines, shipping charges and packaging are in the Shipping Policy. Read both before raising a delivery complaint, because the answer is usually in one of them.
2. Delivery Estimates
The estimate shown at checkout is calculated from your pin code, the product category and the current dispatch queue, and is typically about 4 working days. It is a working day estimate and not an appointment for a particular hour. Sundays and public holidays are not counted. Bulky or fragile items are scheduled by the delivery partner, who will call to agree a slot rather than simply arriving.
3. Delivery Attempts
| Attempt | What happens | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| First | The agent calls the number on the order before arriving | Answer the call, or reschedule from the tracking link |
| Second | Attempted on the next working day | Confirm the address and a landmark if the first attempt failed to find it |
| Third | Final attempt | Collect from the courier branch if the partner offers that option |
| After the final attempt | The parcel returns to us | Prepaid orders are refunded in full once the parcel is received and checked |
4. Who Can Receive The Parcel
- Anyone present at the delivery address can receive the parcel, provided they can complete the verification the order requires.
- High value orders carry a one time password sent to the registered number. Share it with the agent only when the parcel is physically in front of you, never in advance and never over a call that you did not initiate from the tracking page.
- Some categories require a photo identity check at the door, which the tracking page tells you in advance.
- A cash on delivery order needs the exact amount ready, or a card or UPI if the delivery partner supports payment at the door.
5. Open Box Delivery
Where a category is enabled for open box delivery, the agent opens the parcel in front of you and you check the model, the colour, the accessories and the physical condition before accepting. Do this properly; it is the strongest protection you have. Once you accept an open box delivery, a claim of a wrong or damaged item is much harder to establish for both of us. Open box delivery is not available on every product or in every pin code.
6. Check Before You Accept
- Is the tamper evident seal intact and the carton free of crush marks, punctures or moisture?
- Does the shipping label match your order number, which begins with SIK?
- On an open box delivery, do the model, colour, storage variant and serial number match the invoice?
- Are the accessories listed on the box actually inside it?
If any answer is no, refuse the parcel. Refusal at the door is the fastest resolution route and costs you nothing. If you have already accepted it, report the problem within 48 hours with photographs of the carton, the seal and the product, and keep all the packaging until the case is closed.
7. Installation And Demonstration
String lights, curtain lights, diyas and lamps are supplied ready to plug in, and nothing in this catalogue is installed for you. Anything that has to be fixed to a wall or a ceiling should be fitted by a qualified electrician; work done by an unauthorised person can void the manufacturer warranty. Hooks, brackets, extension cables and outdoor rated fittings are not supplied with the product.
8. Rescheduling And Address Changes
Reschedule from the courier tracking link, which is the only system the delivery agent actually sees. An address can be changed only before dispatch, from your order page. After dispatch, a change is at the discretion of the courier and is often limited to a nearby location within the same city.
9. Marked Delivered But Not Received
Report it within 48 hours. We ask the courier for the proof of delivery, which is the signature, the photograph or the one time password captured at the door, and we share the outcome with you. Where the delivery cannot be substantiated we replace the item or refund it in full. Check with family, neighbours and the building security desk first, because that resolves a large share of these cases immediately.
10. Delivery Of Old Devices And E-Waste
If you want to hand over an old device for recycling, arrange it with support before the delivery date rather than at the door, because a delivery agent is not authorised to accept an unlisted item. End of life electronics are routed to an authorised recycler in line with the E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get delivery at a specific time?
Standard parcels are delivered in the courier normal working window. Only bulky or fragile items are slot scheduled by appointment.
The agent asked for the OTP before showing the parcel.
Do not share it. The one time password confirms that the parcel was handed to you. Report the incident with the tracking number.
Can I open the parcel before paying on a cash on delivery order?
Only where open box delivery is enabled for that product. Otherwise payment is collected first, and you still have the 7 day return window afterwards.
Nobody was home. What now?
The courier attempts again on the next working day. Use the tracking link to reschedule or to ask for a branch pickup where that is offered.
Do you install the lights?
A brand authorised technician, arranged after delivery. The delivery agent only hands over the carton.
